COURSES

If you are seriously contemplating taking up gliding or simply want to know what it is like to spend a day or week at a gliding club then a course is an excellent even more cost-effective way of satisfying your curiosity! We run introductory courses, day courses and five day courses. Your course will be tailored to your requirements and you will have the benefit of being taught by the same BGA qualified instructor throughout the duration of your course.

TRIAL LESSONS & GIFT VOUCHER

Trial lessons are an excellent affordable way of trying the sport of gliding. For a fixed cost you can have a trial lesson in a glider with a BGA qualified instructor. This is not a pleasure flight either, you get control of the glider and will be taught the basics of flying a glider! After a trial lesson many choose to continue their adventure by joining the Essex Gliding Club. And for all those birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions we offer gift vouchers entitling the recipient to an unforgettable trial lesson glider flight - the perfect gift for people of all ages!

MEMBERSHIP

Joining the Essex Gliding Club is a fantastic cost-effective way of learning to glide. By paying an annual membership fee you will become an EGC member which will entitle you to: discount flying charges, free instruction from BGA qualified gliding instructors and free theory lessons for your BGA 'Bronze' badge among many other benefits! You will also be eligible for a discount on next years membership fee if you keep your account in credit! If you are a younger person at school or university don't worry - we have discounted rates for you! Once a member you can also bring friends and family along to the club to have a flight - charged at member rates!

Whether you just want a glider flight experience or want to learn to glide EGC is an excellent place to come. We have a wide range of trial lessons to suit all tastes and budgets and our membership scheme makes learning to glide fun and affordable.
